In a turn up for the books, the weather forecast is actually looking rather good for the weekend in Newcastle, meaning there should be plenty of sunshine for the Northumberland Plate Festival.
Always the biggest event at Newcastle Racecourse, Plate Day pulls in loads of punters year after year, who all dressed to impress to have a fluter on the day's racing programme.
The Betfair Exchange Northumberland Plate Festival will get going on Thursday, June 27, before Gosforth Park Cup Night on Friday, June 28 and the big one - Betfair Exchange Northumberland Plate Day on Saturday, June 29.
One of the other highlights of the Plate Day race card is Betfair Exchange Chipchase Stakes, but of course the big one is the Betfair Exchange Northumberland Plate.
