The results of the deputy leader election will be announced at the same time. Either Dawn Butler, Angela Rayner, Richard Burgon, Dr Rosena Allin-Khan or Ian Murray will replace Tom Watson, who stood down in December.

Over half a million Labour members, registered supporters and affiliates have voted in the leadership election to name Corbyn's successor.

To stand, prospective candidates had to receive nominations from 10% of Labour MPs or MEPs, plus nominations from either 5% of constituency parties or at least three affiliates, two of which had to be trade unions.

The winner will take over as Labour leader today.
