Netflix is bringing us a new musical drama, as La La Land director Damien Chazelle is giving us a whole televisions series of jazzy music and personal entanglements.
The Eddy follows a former celebrated jazz pianist from New York, Elliot Udo, who is now the co-owner of struggling Parisian jazz club The Eddy.
Here, in the multicultural and culturally-rich streets of the French capital, he manages the Eddy's house band, which is naturally fronted by a luminous lead singer who happens to be his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Maja (Joanna Kulig).
To add complications to the drama, his business partner Farid (Tahar Rahim) is hiding secrets from those around him, including his own wife Amira (Leïla Bekhti).
Meanwhile, Elliot's own teenage daughter Julie (Amandla Stenberg) turns up on his doorstep, adding a whole new element to his managing of his club and his relationship with beautiful Maja.

What time is The Eddy released on Netflix?
The Eddy will be released on Netflix UK at 8am GMT on Friday, May 8, 2020.
All eight episodes of the drama series will be made available on the same day, enabling us to binge-watch the series!
It seems that this will only be a limited series, meaning that for now we shouldn't expect a second run.
