What time is Strictly on tonight? Stars head to Blackpool for epic dance special

Strictly Come Dancing is back on tonight for Week Nine and it's going to be a tear-jerker as stars battle for a place to stay in the competition.

Tonight's show will kick off at 7:05pm and fans will be able to indulge in dancing glamour for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This evening's episode is a particularly special one as stars perform in the spectacular and legendary Blackpool ballroom.

Kelvin Fletcher , 35, has already admitted he is going to be an emotional wreck when he takes to the floor at Blackpool's iconic Tower Ballroom with dance partner Oti Mabuse.

The former Emmerdale actor said: "It's made the hairs go up on my neck just thinking about it."

Oldham-born Kevin said it will remind him of a time when his family could not afford to go abroad.

"Before the dawn of budget airlines, you couldn't think of going to Spain, it was just too expensive. We would go to Blackpool for our holidays.

"So the Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens, that's all very much part of my childhood. I just remember it as an amazing resort, absolutely buzzing.

"I think it will be really weird to walk out there in a completely different stage of my life, as an adult. It feels really special for me because Blackpool was a huge part of my childhood."

Last week saw BBC Breakfast sports host Mike Bushell get booted off the show after taking on series favourite Michelle Visage in the dance-off.

It wasn't the first time the presenter found himself in the bottom two following the public vote.

And 19-year-old YouTube star Saffron Barker topped the leaderboard last week with an impressive 39 points as she and AJ Pritchard wowed the hopeful judges.
