What time is Strictly Come Dancing on tonight and who is competing?

Strictly Come Dancing will return for another series tonight (Saturday, September 18).

The dancing talent show will feature untrained celebrities such as Dan Walker, Tom Fletcher and Tilly Ramsay, alongside professionals including Jowita Przystal, Cameron Lombard and Aljaz Skorjanec.

It is set to kick off at 7.45pm in its usual BBC One slot. The first show will be a pre-record launch episode during which the celebrity competitors will learn which professional dancers they are performing with.

Stars will start dancing for their place in a week's time, with live episodes beginning on Saturday, September 25. It is expected to run for its usual 13 episodes.

This means that the final will likely take place on Saturday, December 18, the final weekend before Christmas.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, and head judge Shirley Ballas, will be scoring the dancers once again.

The full lineup is:

  • Adam Peaty - Olympic swimmer
  • AJ Odudu - Television presenter
  • Dan Walker - BBC Breakfast presenter & journalist
  • Greg Wise - Film & television actor
  • John Whaite - Baker & television presenter
  • Judi Love - Comedian & Loose Women panellist
  • Katie McGlynn - Former Coronation Street actress
  • Nina Wadia - Stage & screen actress
  • Rhys Stephenson - CBBC presenter
  • Robert Webb - Comedian & actor
  • Rose Ayling-Ellis - EastEnders actress

Earlier this week we reported that a Strictly professional dancer had tested positive for coronavirus, just days before the start of the new series. The unnamed dancer is reportedly having to isolate for 10 days, in a "nightmare" for producers.
