What time is Sainsbury's open on August Bank Holiday? 2021 opening hours for UK stores

If like us, you’ve forgotten it’s a Bank Holiday this weekend? Fear not as Sainsbury’s is open for all your needs.

From great savings on spirits, beer, wine and fizz, to those all important essentials for back to school lunches, plus the meat for your Sunday Roast - Sainsbury’s has everything you need and then some.

Who knows, with a heatwave on the cards, this could be the perfect chance to fire up your barbecue, and invite your friends and family over - and finally celebrate the end of summer!

Now should you need to nip down to your local Sainsbury’s, the supermarket is open and trading for all of those last minute essentials you might have run out of - but it’s worth noting that stores will be operating at slightly different hours.

Don’t worry though as we have all of that important information you need to know.

We’ve listed below the full opening times breakdown, or use the Sainsbury's online store finder tool for specific details of your local store at sainsburys.co.uk.

Sainsbury's August Bank Holiday Opening Times:

  • Friday 27th August - normal opening hours for all UK stores
  • Saturday 28th August - normal opening hours for all UK stores
  • Sunday 29th August - normal opening hours for all UK stores

Even though we’ve checked the timings, you might want to triple check your local as store sizes can mean your local Sainsbury’s will shut sooner than expected. You can do so by entering your postcode in the store locator here.

So about those deals? Well if you’re looking to make this August Bank Holiday one to remember, you’re in luck with the amount of discounts on your favourite bottles of booze.

There are fantastic savings across all categories - including bottles of Gordon’s London Dry Gin for just £16, Taste The Difference Conegliano Prosecco for £7.50 and 12 bottles of Corona Extra Premium Lager will set you back 10 quid - what a bargain.

As for bottles of wine? Well a bottle of Torres Vina Sol or Barefoot Malbec will cost you £5.50 - and there’s a plethora of choice available too. So what are you waiting for?

If you’re guest have already started to arrive or you really can’t be bothered to leave the house for the 100th time, why not Deliveroo your Sainsbury’s essentials to your door?

That’s right, Sainsbury’s is now available on Deliveroo, in multiple locations around the UK. Best of all? Items can be delivered in as little as 20 minutes too.

You can now get all the groceries your heart desires - maybe you’re after some snacks? Or items for brunch the next day? These can now be delivered directly to your door with the Deliveroo app (available on both Apple and Android devices) as well as from their website too.

Waitrose, Co-op, Morrisons, Aldi, Asda and even your local BP Garage can now deliver - subject to availability.

Now that’s music to our ears…
