There will be much focus on Galway's pre season clash against Offaly on Sunday as Henry Shefflin's reign as Galway manager gets underway.
Shefflin was unexpectedly named Tribesman boss in the off season and will be hoping to bring All-Ireland glory to the county.
Galway have not won the All-Ireland title since 2017 and will enter 2022 without Joe Canning after he hung up the boots after their Championship exit last year.
And they will kick start their season with a clash against Offaly in the Walsh Cup.
