What time is Nicola Sturgeon's lockdown route map announcement today and how to watch

Scotland's route map out of lockdown will be revealed today as Nicola Sturgeon outlines when and how restrictions will be lifted.

It follow Boris Johnson's lockdown announcement, with England's measures set out in a four-step exit strategy which will begin on March 8 and covers everything from socialising to hairdressers.

Scotland's mainland has been in a full-blown lockdown for more than a month now, with non-essential shops, bars, pubs and cafes shut in a bid to curb soaring cases.

The First Minister will make a statement to the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday, February 23, where she is expected to lay out a “revised strategic framework” for the coming weeks and months.

However, she has cautioned that the action plan is not committed to specific dates, but instead will be guided by data to gradually return to normality.

What time is Nicola Sturgeon's update?

The First Minister will address MSPs at the Scottish Parliament at around 2.15pm today - Tuesday, February 23.

Where can I watch the update?

Scots can tune into the statement which will be broadcast on BBC Scotland.

The update will also be available to watch on the official Scottish Parliament TV website and the Scottish Government's official Twitter page.

We'll also be covering all the latest updates on the Daily Record's Live Blog, and you can watch LIVE on our Facebook page.
