Nicola Sturgeon will provide an update on the Scottish Government’s lockdown review in an address at Holyrood later today.
The First Minister is expected to announce further measures to control the spread of coronavirus in Scotland.
The address could include proposals to go further than the UK Government on quarantine hotels and other measures aimed at making current travel restrictions “more effective”.
Sturgeon will also provide an update on the opening of school and nursery buildings across Scotland.

Speaking at the Scottish Government’s coronavirus briefing yesterday, she said: “Tomorrow’s statement is also going to cover some of the measures we will be taking to help us control the virus as we continue to suppress it, and in time gradually start to ease lockdown restrictions.”
Current lockdown measures are expected to remain in place until at least mid-February.
