What time is Nicola Sturgeon's lockdown announcement and where to watch

Nicola Sturgeon will give an update on the coronavirus situation in Scotland in a press conference later today.

The city of Glasgow is expected to remain in level three of Covid restrictions as the number of infections continues to rise.

Scots in the south side of the city have been urged to get tested for the virus, while over 18s are now being invited for the jab in some of the most affected areas.

The First Minister is also expected to confirm tougher restrictions for East Renfrewshire after it overtook Glasgow for the highest infection rate in Scotland.

But there is good news anticipated for the people of Moray, with many predicting that the local authority area in the north east of Scotland will be able to move down to level two.
