Nicola Sturgeon is expected to confirm the latest round of lockdown easing in a press conference later today.
The First Minister will deliver her first Covid briefing since news of the SNP’s Holyrood election triumph over the weekend.
It is anticipated that Sturgeon will use the press conference to confirm that Scotland will move to level two lockdown restrictions from next Monday, May 17.
The move will give the green light to meeting friends and family inside homes for the first time in several months.

Other expected changes include a wider reopening of the hospitality sector and recreational businesses, such as cinemas and bingo halls.
Sturgeon could also announce plans of a traffic light system for travelling abroad during the pandemic.
It comes amid a continuing reduction in the number of hospitalisations and deaths due to Covid.
More than 2.9 million Scots have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to the latest Scottish Government data.
