What time is Nicola Sturgeon's coronavirus announcement and where you can watch

Nicola Sturgeon is set to update the Scottish Parliament on the state of the coronavirus pandemic in Scotland.

The First Minister will also reveal the latest Covid-19 figures to MSPs over the last 24 hours.

She is likely to address the vaccination programme which is predicted to take a blow to supply next month.

During her 20-minute speech in the Holyrood chamber Sturgeon is predicted to reiterate the key dates for easing lockdown that were announced last week.

It's also expected the SNP leader will speak about the potential of a third wave of cases and deaths which was predicted by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday.

Earlier today the leaders of the political parties at Holyrood took part in a minute silence in a day of reflection to remember the people lost to the virus.

March 23 marks one year since Boris Johnson issued the "stay at home" message.

What time is the statement?

The First Minister is expected to get to her feet at around 2.05pm.

Following a 20-minute speech she will take questions from MSPs for around 40 minutes.

Where can you watch?

Scots can tune in to Nicola Sturgeon’s statement on BBC One Scotland or the BBC Scotland channels.

It will also be available to watch on the Scottish Parliament TV website.
