What time is Nicola Sturgeon's briefing today? How to watch and what to expect

Nicola Sturgeon is due to hold a coronavirus briefing today and is expected to make a update on rising infections in pockets of Scotland.

During a briefing scheduled for Friday, May 28, the First Minister is set to make a decision on the situation in Glasgow, which is currently the only area at Level 3 restrictions.

Other areas of Scotland have also seen rising infections including East Renfrewshire and Clackmannanshire, with the latter now overtaking Glasgow with the highest case rate.

Sturgeon is also expected to issue a general update on the situation in Scotland. She will announce the latest number cases and how many Scots have been vaccinated.

What time is the briefing?

Nicola Sturgeon will take to the podium in St Andrew's House in Edinburgh at around 12.15pm.

She will make a statement on the state of the virus in Scotland then take questions from journalists.

Where can you watch it?

The Scottish Government coronavirus will be available to watch on the Daily Record Facebook page today.

It will also be available to view on BBC One Scotland and the BBC Scotland channel where they will have a special news special show on it.
