What time is Nicola Sturgeon's announcement on lockdown easing today?

Nicola Sturgeon will give an update on the latest on the coronavirus pandemic in Scotland later today.

The First Minister said the nation is on track to reopen the economy on April 26, however due to the progress made certain sectors may open sooner than expected.

Deaths and cases of covid have continued to fall across Scotland over the last few weeks since lockdown restrictions were eased at the end of March.

The SNP leader said the government has been c onsidering making changes to support people's mental health and well-being.

In a tweet the FM said: "I’ll give a #Covid update at 12 noon. I’ll report on progress & confirm we’re firmly on track for substantial re-opening of economy on 26 April.

"We’ve also been considering whether any earlier changes to support mental health & wellbeing are possible & I’ll update on that too."

Nicola Sturgeon will give a statement to the nation then take questions from journalists.
