What time is Nicola Sturgeon five tier speech today and how to watch

Today the First Minister will confirm which tier of Covid restrictions each local authority will be placed under as part of Scotland's new five-tier system.

Yesterday the First Minister said that she was working with her cabinet to "finalise these decisions" and she expected to announce the regional restrictions live from FMQ's this afternoon.

Edinburgh and the central belt still look set to enter into tier three meaning that tough restrictions surrounding the hospitality sector will continue, including a complete ban on the sale of alcohol in bars and restaurants.

The rest of Scotland is expected to be placed into tier two, however Lanarkshire is said to be heading for a tier four lockdown, which would see the highest level of measures implemented upon them.

Here is how you can watch:

Nicola Sturgeon is expected to set out the new levels of coronavirus restrictions live to the parliament at today's FMQ session.

Coverage is scheduled to begin around 12.20pm today and coverage will be live streamed.
