The Masterchef 2022 semi-finals are officially here. After five weeks of audition rounds, the contestants have been whittled down to just 10.
The semi-finals will see the cooks go head-to-head in order to be crowned Masterchef Champion. Among the semi-finalists is Welsh chef Ioan who grew up in Ruthin and Wrexham, you can find out more about him here.
Kicking off on Tuesday, April 29 the semi-finals will see the budding chefs tested in a live service setting, with the studio being turned into a restaurant. The remaining 10 contestants will be split into three groups and tasked with either starters, mains or desserts

Eight will then move on to the next challenge, which will be an invention test, on Thursday, April 28. Two more will be axed before six battle it out during a three-course lunch for the Royal British Legion.
What time is Masterchef on this week?
The semi-finals will start on BBC One at 8pm on Tuesday, April 26. It will continue on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 at the same time.
