What time is Mark Drakeford's announcement today and what will he say?

Mark Drakeford is set to announce what will happen after Wales' fire-break lockdown today (Monday, November 2).

The First Minister will address the nation to provide details on new national measures which will come into force when the circuit-breaker ends on November 9.

Monday's press conference will come after the Welsh cabinet met on Sunday to discuss the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Here's what time the Welsh Government briefing will start and how you can watch it.

What time is Mark Drakeford speaking?

The First Minister will provide more details on new national lockdown measures at 12.15pm on Monday, November 2.

You can watch it live on the Welsh Government's social media channels.

Mr Drakeford said: "The Cabinet met earlier today (Sunday, November 1) to continue to discuss the new national measures which will come into force when the firebreak ends on November 9.

"I will provide more details at tomorrow’s (Monday, November 2) press conference. You can watch live on @WelshGovernment from 12.15pm."

What will Mark Drakeford say?

He is expected to reveal details of the national measures to tackle Covid-19 that will be introduced in Wales after the fire-break lockdown ends on Monday, November 9.

However, he will warn that the measures will only work if people act responsibly.

Speaking about exiting the fire-break on BBC Breakfast, he said: "We have always said it will end on November 9 and I will be setting out today the terms to exit the firebreak.

"My main message to people in Wales will be that whatever the rules are after November 9, please don’t spend your time obsessing about the rules and asking how far you can stretch them. We will only get through this if each one of us asks not what can I do, but what should I do? If we do that, avoid company, travel as little as we can, work from home wherever possible, then we have a path out of this together."
