What time is kick off for Ireland v Scotland in the Rugby World Cup and what TV channel is it on?

Scotland will be Ireland's first opponents in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

They will face off in their Pool A opener this weekend.

And it is expected to go ahead even if there is torrential rain in Yokohama on Sunday.

Joe Schmidt's men were forced to call off a press event at their training ground on Monday due to the poor weather, and with an inch of rain forecast for Sunday, it's looking like the game could be in jeopardy, although Ireland scrum coach Greg Feek has played down concerns.

If the game is cancelled, both teams will be given a point for a draw and it will not be re-scheduled.

8.45 AM Irish time (4.45 PM local time) on Sunday September 22nd.

Is it on TV?

 

RTE2 and Eir Sport will both show the game live, coverage begins at 8 AM Irish time.
