The returning Mick McCarthy will take charge of his first match as Republic of Ireland manager in Gibraltar this weekend.
McCarthy's men open their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a trip to the minnows before returning home to face Georgia next week.
The Rock are one of the lowest ranked teams in Europe and only a win be expected in McCarthy's first competitive match.
The task has not been helped by a swathe of injuries though with Ireland set to name a much-changed lineup from the end of the Martin O'Neill era.
