What time is Japan v Russia in the Rugby World Cup today and what TV channel is it on?

The Rugby World Cup finally gets going today when hosts Japan take on a Russia side coached by Welshman Lyn Jones in the tournament opener.

Both sides are in Pool A along with Ireland, Scotland and Samoa. 

The opening game of the tournament, which follows the opening ceremony, will be the biggest moment in Russia's history as a rugby nation, while Japan will be hoping home advantage will be on their side.

What time is Japan v Russia?

The opening game of the Rugby World Cup gets going at 11.45am UK time (7.45pm local time) at Tokyo Stadium.

The game will be preceded by the official Rugby World Cup 2019 opening ceremony.
