What time is F1 qualifying? TV channel and live stream information for Styrian Grand Prix

Formula 1 remains in Austria this weekend for the second race of the season at the Red Bull Ring near Spielberg.

After a four-month delay the season finally got underway last weekend, with Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas winning a dramatic race while Brit Lando Norris claimed his first F1 podium for McLaren.

Traditionally the F1 circus would roll on to another country for its next race, but in this unprecedented year, a second race is being held around the 2.6-mile track.

However, because we can’t have two races called the Austrian Grand Prix, this weekend’s event is billed as the Styrian Grand Prix, although the track and weekend format is exactly the same.

Qualifying for the Styrian Grand Prix begins at 2pm, and follows the same three-stage knockout format that takes one hour to complete.

However there is are doubts that qualifying will even happen, due to the heavy rain falling on the circuit today.

If the decision is taken to cancel Saturday's qualifying, the grid will be decided based on the most recent Free Practtice session. As it's unlikely that Saturday's Free Practice 3 will take place, results from Friday's second practice session will be used.

Sky Sports will be showing Styrian Grand Prix qualifying live on its F1 channel.

Coverage begins at 1pm, with 30 minutes of reaction before the Formula 2 race starts at 3.35pm.

Those who want to watch more F1 action can do so by catching Free Practice 3 from 10.45am-12.10pm on Sky Sports F1.

For those who don’t have Sky Sports F1, highlights will be shown on Channel 4 from 6.30pm-8pm.
