Piers Morgan’s interview with arguably the biggest footballer on the planet, Cristiano Ronaldo , is expected to be his most revealing yet. 

Ronaldo, 34, has enjoyed a glittering career which has seen him win three Premier League titles with Manchester United , four Champions League crowns with Real Madrid and the Euro 2016 trophy with Portugal.

Pictures from the interview have already seen the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in an emotional-state, with Morgan revealing Ronaldo spoke openly about the death of his father.  

Ronaldo will also give insight into his rivalry with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, with the two duelling for titles for over a decade now.

What can we expect from the interview?

In an interview that is expected to cover a wide range of topics, ITV have already released a series of teaser clips including one which showed an emotional Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar broke down in tears after being shown footage of his late father.

The emotional moment took place during his revealing interview with Morgan, which is being shown on UK television on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo was shown a film of Jose Dinis Aveiro, an alcoholic who died of liver failure at the age of 52.

In the short clip, Mr Aveiro was seen talking about Ronaldo while stood on his doorstep.

Ronaldo, crying, said: "I never saw the video. I never saw that video. Unbelievable."
