Jurgen Klopp is absent from the Chelsea v Liverpool game because he has Covid.

Before being diagnosed himself, Klopp confirmed in his pre-match press conference that three more Liverpool players have tested positive for Covid-19.

The Liverpool boss would not confirm the identity of the positive cases, despite Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino being absent from the latest training session.

Chelsea v Liverpool team news

Thiago Alcantara, Takumi Minamino, Harvey Elliott, Nat Phillips and Divock Origi will all be absent for the game due to injury.

Andy Robertson is unavailable due to this being the third and final match of his suspension.

For Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku looks set to be dropped after his controversial midweek interview.

Timo Werner is in contention to start after returning to training on the back of his Covid-enforced absence.
