What time is Boris's Covid briefing today as he ditches 5pm slot

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will hold a Downing Street press conference later on Monday, No 10 has said.

The briefing comes on the day the roadmap out of lockdown for England began - with children across the country returning to school.

There is also a change in rules around socialising and in meeting people in care homes.

If the infection rate can be kept down there will be more changes on March 29.

SAGE experts say the rate will go up as children are at school, but suggest R will rise by just 0.2 per cent.

The briefings from Downing Street are normally held at 5pm.

Deputy chief medical officer for England Dr Jenny Harries will join Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the Downing Street press conference at 4pm, No 10 has said.
