Netflix has been none too shy about the rollout of its signature series. Stranger Things has a float in tomorrow’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Also, there is every single crossover with a media corporation under the sun in anticipation for the last chapter of this youth phenomenon. Stranger Things has been running for quite a long time now and viewers have been chomping at the bit for whatever the end holds since Tudum earlier this year.
Interested parties should keep in mind that only the first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 premiere tonight at 8:00 PM ET. If you’re looking for the second salvo of episodes, that comes on Christmas Day. Then, everything reaches a boiling point on New Year’s Eve with Stranger Things‘ finale hitting Netflix just in time for that ball to drop. It’s going to be a busy holiday season, go find a comfy chair.
Stranger Things 5 is upon us

Stuff is already on fire for the Stranger Things kids at the start of Season 5. They got their butts handed to them by Vecna. Eleven doesn’t have her powers back just yet. And, everyone’s fractured by what they’ve all lost over the last four seasons. The Duffer Bros. talked to TUDUM about what the group is facing this time around when the big trailer dropped.
“I think what’s unique about this season is that it starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of Season 4,” Ross Duffer shared. “We usually set up their normal life and how they’re going about school, and then we introduce the supernatural element. But in this case, this season is sprinting from the start.”
Along with those personal changes, there’s been so much increased scale over the last years with Stranger Things. What started out as a nice homage to horror favorites of yesteryear has blossomed into one of the biggest media properties on the face of the planet. Everyone working on it has felt that gravity increase with each passing season. But, Stranger Things 5 is a different animal entirely. Most of that is because it truly is the end of the road for our favorite group of D&D players.
“The action is next level, the visual effects are next level, but I’m also happy to say that the emotional center remains the same,” executive producer Shawn Levy told the outlet. “And part of the magic of this show is that even as we evolve, even as the storytelling becomes more epic, it’s always anchored in these characters that we love.”
