What time does Celebrity Bake Off air and who are the contestants?

Fulfilling our hunger for more innuendos, catastrophes and soggy bottoms than you can shake a stick at, The Great British Bake Off returns tonight to Channel 4 for the first of several celebrity specials.

Celebrity Bake Off will see 19 familiar faces compete under Britain's most famous tent in aid of Stand Up To Cancer over the next five weeks. Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas will be returning to their hosting duties as they welcome everyone from Coronation Street stars to TV presenters.

Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will once again act as Bake Off's head judges and will be putting the celebs through the wringer as they attempt to whip up everything from macarons, madeleines and meringues. Here's everything you need to know about the new series of Celebrity Bake Off:

What celebrities are taking part?

Stepping into the famous tent for week one are former Strictly star Clara Amfo, The Voice UK presenter Emma Willis, Taskmaster's Alex Horne and Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison. Week two will have comedian-turned-wellness guru Ruby Wax, singing coach Gareth Malone, TV presenter Laura Whitmore and social media star Yung Filly.

The rest of the cast includes former BBC Radio 1 presenter Annie Mac, actor and comedian Ben Miller, comedian and podcaster Ed Gamble, singer-songwriter and UN Environment Ambassador Ellie Goulding and Tv presenter Emma Willis. Rounding out the star studded cast is Rapper Example, choirmaster and broadcaster Gareth Malone, Cheat star Katherine Kelly, writer and comedian Mawaan Rizwan, Olympic athlete Sir Mo Farah, Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, TV presenter and disability advocate Sophie Morgan and actor and narrator Tracy-Ann Oberman.

What time does it start?

Celebrity Bake Off will keep its usual prime time slot of 8pm. Each episode will be an hour-long, all of which will stick to the 8pm start time.

When does it air?

The show kicks off 22 March and will air every week going forward for the next five weeks. The concluding episode is set to fall 26 April.
