What time do the River of Light fireworks start in Liverpool and Wirral 2019

Thousands are expected to head to the waterfront on both sides of the Mersey for the fireworks tonight.

The special event is the highlight of the River of Light festival celebrating Bonfire Night and also features 11 new light installations that are dotted around the city centre.

Both fireworks displays will take place at the same time from 6.30pm this Sunday, November 3.

Liverpool

Families will be able to take a tour around the city before the main event, visiting 11 new light installations, which include spiders projected on to the Cunard Building and 200 luminous spheres in the courtyard of Liverpool Parish Church (Our Lady and St Nicholas).

Wirral

In New Brighton, there will be plenty to see and do for all the family from 5pm.

The electrifying Spark! will entertain visitors to New Brighton with live music, movement and lighting performances outside the Floral Pavilion and illuminated stilt walkers will greet the crowds along Marine Promenade.
