What time do polling stations close in the UK for the European elections?

Voting for the European elections takes place today.

There are 751 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). Of those, 73 represent the UK.

You can vote in the European elections today between 7am and 10pm. The results will be revealed on Sunday.

Your MEPs are your elected representatives in the EU and they represent your interests and those of your city or region in Europe.

The EU elections are your last chance to take part in a decent electoral system (Stoke Sentinel)

You must be registered to vote and if you haven't registered, it is unfortunately too late to do so.

If you have a poll card, it will give the address of your polling station on there.

If you haven't had your poll card or you have misplaced it and you are unsure where you polling station is, your local authority can remind you. It is usually a local hall or school near where you live.

Otherwise, you could try the website wheredoivote.co.uk .

Results will not be announced until Sunday evening when the last polling station on the continent closes.
