Dustin Poirier is aiming to complete a hugely successful 2021 by becoming the UFC's lightweight champion this weekend.
The Diamond has defeated Conor McGregor twice this year and faces Oliveira in Las Vegas as he finally hopes to get his hands on the belt.
Poirier was crowned the interim champion in 2019 when Khabib Nurmagomedov was serving a suspension, but lost to the Russian a few months later.
The American has beaten some of the biggest names in the division though and few could begrudge him becoming champion.
It's a stacked card, with Amanda Nunes defending her women's bantamweight title against Julianna Pena prior to the main event.
