Quotes corner

Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley: "I think it’s a chance to go and lift a trophy for the fans who haven’t been able to be in the grounds this year.

"It’s a chance to go and give them their little reward and thanks for being there with us behind the scenes and everything they’ve done for the club in these tough times. So it’s a chance for us to go and repay them."

Dundalk's Patrick McEleney: “Rovers won the cup last year on penalties and won the league this year but they’ve a long way to go before they’re able to say they’re us.

“We’ve done it for years. Year in, year out winning trophies, two Europa League group stages.

“Rovers are just starting on their course, but it’ll take a number of years for a team to be able to say they could do what we’ve done.

“I’m expecting a cracking game. Both teams will go for it. Between us and Rovers they’ll always be good games with the players there.”
