What time and TV channel is Munster vs Castres on today?

Munster will be bidding for back-to-back Champions Cup wins as they welcome Castres to Thomond Park this evening.

The Reds were led to a brilliant win over Wasps by Academy boss Ian Costello last weekend amid a depletion of primary squad members owing to the club's entanglement in the outbreak of the Omicron variant in South Africa.

Twelve debuts were handed out as Munster flourished against all odds and delivered a resounding 14-35 win on the day.

Munster Rugby issued an update on players and staff who had been affected as part of the travelling party.

A statement read: "The 14 players and staff that were quarantining in Cape Town have all safely returned home.

"Despite recent Covid infection with recovery, they have been required to undertake an additional period of self-isolation as advised by public health.

"Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our players and staff, and we are hugely grateful to those involved and their families for the manner in which they are handling this situation."

On top of their evolving situation with Covid-enforced quarantine for players and staff, the Reds were this week stunned as Johann van Graan announced he is set to depart the club at the end of the year to join Bath as Head Coach.

Munster were dealt a further blow this week as confirmation came through that out-half Joey Carbery fractured his elbow in the win over Wasps. Carbery underwent surgery on Thursday.
