Tailteann Cup champions Westmeath get their 2023 season underway as they travel east to take on Louth this evening.

Mickey Harte's Louth side will be looking to improve upon last year's pre-season campaign, where they played three and lost three against Dublin, Offaly and Longford.

Westmeath were also absentees from the latter stages of last year's competition as Kildare scored two wins in the three-team Group C to eliminate both the Lake County and Carlow.
