What time and channel is Tipperary v Waterford on? Team news, betting odds, TV information and more

Liam Sheedy's Tipperary have an opportunity to take a massive leap towards a Munster final this weekend when they welcome a wounded Waterford side to Thurles.

Tipperary were outstanding as they shut down Munster kingpins Cork aty Pairc Ui Chaoimh last weekend as the county's big guns put in a shift to ensure they get off to a vital win in the first round.

And such is the nature of the competition, that vital first win - crucially being away from home - puts them in the driving seat as they boast home advantage - knowing that getting to four points would mean that one more win could at least secure a third place finish fvor the Premier men.

Waterford looked to be simmering nicely into the summer after a largely positive league campaign, but a disappointing home loss signals the alarm bells as this weekend's game now becomes must-win for Paraic Fanning's side.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the big game:

Where and when is it?

The match takes place at Semple Stadium, May 19.

What time is throw-in?

It will get underway at 2 pm.

What channel is it on?

RTE will broadcast the game from 1:15 pm, but you can also follow all the action with The Irish Mirror's live blog.

Waterford boss Paraic Fanning on Clare loss: “Probably on the balance of play, we could have nicked something out of the game. It was a great occasion in Waterford all week, to have the games here.

“We’re just disappointed that we didn’t get the result everybody craved. We have to dust ourselves down, get ready for Tipperary next Sunday. Hopefully come out energised again, which I think we will.

“There are three games left in the championship. If we win all three, we’ll have a big say. If we lose it’s a different story.

“It shouldn’t have happened. It’s something we wouldn’t be happy with. I think it was just we were coming out with the ball, it was turned over, we were probably in possession and he stole in behind the ruck and stayed there. So when it was turned over he was in there. I’ll have to go back and look at the video. I was a bit surprised we got caught that way.”
