What time and channel is Liverpool v RB Leipzig in Ireland tonight? Kick-off, TV info and team news

An unrelenting season continues this week, with European competitions set to return after their winter hiatus.

For Liverpool, the Champions League represents a welcome break from their current Premier League struggles, as well as an opportunity to salvage their season.

To progress, they will have to overcome a tricky opponent. Leipzig reached last season's Champions League semi-final and are led by one of world football's most esteemed young coaches in the form of Julian Nagelsmann.

Leipzig have hit form at an opportune time, with four successive Bundesliga victories. It may have come too late in their pursuit of the German league title, however. They are currently four points adrift of Bayern, who also have a game to spare.

Due to strict covid-related rules in place in Germany, the match will take place at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.

New January signings Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak have both been included in Liverpool's Champions League squad. The former's involvement on Tuesday is dependent on whether he can shake off the knock he suffered that saw him miss the weekend's defeat against Leicester.

Fabinho and Naby Keita are both ruled out while RB Leipzig themselves have one or two injuries note - namely central midfielder Konrad Laimer and winger Emil Forsberg.

Highly-rated youngster Dominik Szoboszlai has also been out of recent action with an adductor problem.
