Dublin begin their bid to win an historic five-in-a-row this weekend when they travel to Portlaoise this weekend to take on Louth in a Leinster quarter-final.
In Dublin's - now annual - pilgrimage outside of the capital for their opening Leinster clash, Jim Gavin's men face more questions about their credentials than ever before after a turbulent league campaign.
But they'll be boosted by the timely return of three-time All-Ireland winning full back Rory O'Carroll to the fold, and will look to use their Leinster campaign to fine tune preparations for this year's Super 8's and beyond.
Louth come fresh off victory over Wexford, and will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Carlow in 2017 - Turlough O'Brien's men stayed close to the All-Ireland kingpins and bounced back to enjoy a successful summer as a result.
Wayne Kierans' men will be hoping that taking Dublin out of Croke Park can swerve the game slightly more in their favour, but face a steep uphill battle if they are to avoid elimination to the qualifiers.
