Laois are the only team from Division Three or Four still standing in this year's Championship, and will aim to make the Super 8s when they take on Cork on Saturday.
John Sugrue's men have enjoyed the scenic route into the final twelve this summer, they defeated Westmeath in the Leinster quarter-final before being put to the sword to the tune of eleven points by Meath.
The back door has been encouraging though, they were impressive as they edged Derry at Owenbeg in round two. A five-point win over neighbours Offaly then ensured they've a fighting chance of making this year's Super 8s.
But Cork will make tough opponents for Laois, the Rebels waltzed into the Munster decider in a Limerick hammering and could well have beaten a heavily fancied Kerry side in the decider - with just a goal separating the two teams.
The winner will be well aware that a daunting trip to Croke Park looms, with the opponent being five-in-a-row chasers Dublin. They'll be back in Croke Park the following weekend to face either Cavan or Tyrone before hosting Roscommon in the final game.
