What Thomas Muller did in the Stamford Bridge tunnel ahead of Chelsea vs Bayern Munich

Chelsea are in Champions League action tonight as they take on Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the round of 16 tie first leg at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were drawn against Bayern after finishing in second place behind Valencia in group H in the first stage of this season's competition while their opponents finished above Tottenham at the top of group B.

Bayern exited the competition at this stage last season, losing 3-1 on aggregate to eventual winners Liverpool.

The game in also a repeat of the 2012 final, a game in which Chelsea came out victorious after a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw.

One player who played for Bayern in that game is forward Thomas Muller and the 30-year-old was also named in the starting lineup in the game at Stamford Bridge.

As the German international was preparing in the tunnel to walk out onto the pitch for the match, the TV cameras caught a funny moment between him and the waiting mascot.

Muller was going through his final stretches, when he accidentally caught the young boy on his head with his arm, but Muller was quick to offer his apologies and check that the mascot was ok.

The player got a smile and a small nod of acknowledgement from the boy before the two walked out onto the pitch together.

The game is Muller's 518th for Bayern Munich in which he has scored 194 goals and provided 184 assists.
