What the weather will be like in Bristol this week according to Met Office

Bristol is set for a period of cloudy but dry weather from today (February 3) until Friday, according to the experts.

The temperature is tipped to be around nine degrees for much of the week, although mornings will be cooler.

Some reasonably strong gusts are anticipated at times today and tomorrow.

However, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday should be more still.

It will be a very different story in Scotland today and tomorrow, with a yellow warning in place for strong wind.

Commuters have been told to watch out for disruption to journeys, while pedestrians should be way of flying debris.

There is also a "slight chance" that power cuts may occur, say the forecasters.

The Met Office's UK forecast for today states: "Showers continuing in many western and northern areas; frequent over Scotland, where wintry on hills with gales, perhaps severe.

"Mostly bright further southeast, though rain may skirt the south coast."

The forecast for Tuesday to Thursday states: "Very windy with showers at first on Tuesday. Thereafter, mostly dry with lighter winds and some frost.

"Becoming breezy with light rain in the north from Wednesday night."
