What the Rangers bench shouted after Jon Flanagan's forearm smash on Scott Brown

Neil Lennon claims the Rangers bench shouted "it's him again" when Scott Brown was left floored by Jon Flanagan's forearm smash.

The Celtic skipper was left in a crumpled heap during the 2-0 defeat after he was caught in the face by the former Liverpool defender.

Lennon was left unhappy with referee Kevin Clancy's decision not to show a straight red card with the defender only receiving a caution during the second-half flashpoint.

And the Irishman says the Ibrox bench were remonstrating with officials by insinuating Brown was exaggerating contact.

The 33-year-old was caught in the face by both Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent during the last Old Firm derby which led to the pair receiving bans.

Lennon was left angry over the call and has lifted the lid on the Ibrox point of view when tempers flared.

He said: "It's an elbow into his face. Their bench is shouting, "It's him again" but it's a clear elbow into his face.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon lets rip at Kevin Clancy over 'unacceptable' Jon Flanagan forearm smash on Scott Brown

"Why the referee hasn't given that as a red card, I don't know.

"Jon's got his hands up first of all, Browny's trying to get away and then he elbows him in the jaw.

"It's a straight red card. It's totally unacceptable for the referee not to give a red card."

Gerrard saluted his players for their "outstanding" discipline.

The Rangers boss said: "We played with slightly too much emotion in the first one here but it's normal because we hadn't won an Old Firm for too long.

"We had more emotional control and our discipline was outstanding today."
