Arsenal have secured their spot in the Europa League semi-finals for the second year in a row, leaving two avenues to the Champions League open for Unai Emery’s side.
The Gunners will still be aiming to secure a top-four finish and moved back into a Champions League spot on Monday after edging past Watford, which will give them confidence heading into Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace.
The match at the Emirates Stadium is one of just two remaining matches Arsenal have on home soil in the Premier League this season, which means the Gunners will be desperate to secure maximum points against their fellow London side.
According to a trio of pundits, Emery’s men will not encounter any problems as they are tipped to ease past the Eagles.
You can see what they had to say below.
Mustafi, Ramsey, Torreira - Arsenal team news and predicted XI vs Crystal Palace
Mark Lawrenson (2-0 Arsenal) - BBC
I was disappointed with Arsenal on Monday night. I know they won at Watford but they never really had control of the game, even with a man advantage.
The Gunners are average on the road but it is a different story at home, where they have not lost since the opening weekend of the season.
Palace always carry a threat on their travels but I only see one outcome here.
Michael Owen (Arsenal win) - BetVictor
Arsenal face a very difficult trip to Naples on Thursday, but I feel they will pick up maximum points against Palace and gain an 11th successive home league win on Sunday – a record for the club in top-flight football.
Palace have picked up more points on the road (23 of 39) than they have at Selhurst Park so far this term and although they do have pace and power on the break, I feel the Gunners will continue their excellent recent home league run.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals the advantage Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs have in race for top four
Paul Merson (3-1 Arsenal) - Sky Sports
Arsenal need to win this, they have to. The top four is in their hands still. Palace are a funny team - they have flattered to deceive and should not be where they are.
They can turn in a performance, but not this time. Arsenal will be able to start strongly at home and be too much for Palace.
