Premier League inspectors will be sent out to make sure that clubs are not cheating with the amount of training done by their players or breaching social distancing guidelines in a bid to ensure safety.
Premier League clubs agreed to stage one of Project Restart on Monday, meaning their players will return to training this week.
Chief executive Richard Masters has insisted the league is still targeting a June 12 restart date, although admitting they will be "flexible" as to when they return.
This week, players will start training in small groups but will be restricted to 75 minutes a day. Clubs will be subject to spot-checks and will have video recordings and GPS data monitored.
The measures were confirmed as the Premier League, which revealed that Premier League chiefs have been told to expect social distancing guidelines to last more than six months.
The Premier League will discuss whether players should be quarantined in hotels for 14 days before the resumption of the season ahead of two crucial meetings next week.
Top-flight clubs will meet on Tuesday next week to discuss a return to contact training and then on Thursday to vote on a return to play and how the league will be decided if the season cannot be finished.
Richard Garlick, the Premier League’s director of football, said: “That will enable us to give everyone confidence that the protocols are being complied with, and give the public confidence that we are trying to create a very safe working environment.”
