What Met Office says the weather will be like next week as temperatures plummet

Wales has been battered and bruised by Storm Ciara.

Homes have been left flooded or without power and roads have been blocked by fallen trees or landslides.

We have used the latest Met Office forecasts as guide for what the weather has in store for you.

Hint - it is going to get cold.

Monday

According to the Met Office, Monday is going to become dry in the morning with sunny spells.

However there will be showery rain arriving towards the afternoon.

The rain will lessen but there will be further coastal gales overnight.

Tuesday

There will be less rain on Tuesday though it will be very windy on Tuesday. The further north you go the colder it will be especially away from the coast.

Wednesday

There will be showers and bright spells on Wednesday.

The winds will ease as you go through the day but it will feel well below freezing in areas of Powys especially.

Thursday

It will start to feel a bit warmer on Thursday especially along the south coast of Wales.

With that warming temperature comes more rain but there will still be sunny spells.

It will be far warmer on Friday though there will be heavy showers for most of Wales. Only parts of the north coast will avoid a soaking.
