Met Office weather forecast for Wales as temperatures could hit 30°C next weekend

Following some great weather this weekend people in Wales are desperate for more.

And, after an overcast start to the working week ahead, there's more sunshine in store.

"We have high pressure over the UK and mainland Europe next weekend," a Met Office spokesman said. "As that moves over the UK it will bring with it warm southerly winds from the continent.

"Both Friday and Saturday could see temperatures as high as 30°C in Cardiff, 27°C across the southern half of Wales, and 23°C across the north.

"Our modelling suggests that it could continue beyond Sunday into next week but at this point it could also break up on Sunday as well."
