What the latest Adidas kit releases tell us about Leeds United's 2020/21 Premier League shirt

It won’t be too much longer to see the kit that Leeds United players will be wearing in the Premier League next season.

It was announced earlier in the summer that the club had signed a long-term partnership with sportswear giants Adidas as kit suppliers.

That means that the company will manufacture the Whites’ kits for at least the next five seasons, starting with the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Fans have already been speculating over what the new home and away kit could look like as excitement builds ahead of the 2020/21 season, which starts in mid-September.

Leeds will join the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal who already use adidas as their kit supplier.

Most of the teams have already had a glimpse of their new kit, so what hints can we take from some of the ones released so far?

Arsenal

The Gunners released their home shirt last month and played the FA Cup final in it. A game in which they came out 2-1 winners.

The shirt has a simple round collar, with a pattern as part of the main red element of the shirt.

The traditional three Adidas stripes are down the side of the shirt and two thin stripes are on the edge of the arm.

Bayern Munich

Bayern released their away shirt last month ahead of the new season.

It’s a simple design with a subtle textured pattern. But there is no sign of the three Adidas stripes.

Could this be the way Leeds go with their new kit?

Leicester City

The Foxes also released their new home shirt last month and played in it for the final game of the Premier League season.

The three Adidas stripes appear on the shoulder of the shirt, with a V-neck collar joining two panels on the shoulder.

The end of the sleeve has a gold stripe with two thinner white stripes either side.

Juventus

Like Bayern Munich, there are no Adidas stripes to be seen on the Juventus home shirt.

It’s another simple design, with a simple V-neck and the traditional black and white stripes.

Celtic

Celtic’s away shirt has the simple V-neck of Juventus, but also the traditional three stripes of Adidas kits on the shoulder.

The arm cuff is a darker green, with a thin white stripe.

Manchester United

Again, the traditional three stripes are on the shoulder of the Manchester United shirt that was released earlier this month.

The shirt has a round neck like Arsenal’s and a textured pattern as part of the full red shirt, something which has been noticeable in a few Adidas kits this season.

Real Madrid

The Spanish giants released their Adidas away shirt last month, and like most of the clubs away from England, there are no three stripes iconic to the adidas brand.

The offering is very similar to the Bayern Munich away kit, but this time in a pink colour, which also covers the badge on the shirt.
