What the Lakers’ new roster looks like with Anthony Davis

The Lakers entered the 2019 offseason knowing that the team would have a very different look in the upcoming season, the majority of the roster set to hit free agency, but the team sent shockwaves around the NBA on Saturday by reportedly landing Anthony Davis in a blockbuster trade.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers will send Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first round picks, including the No. 4 pick in the 2019 draft, to New Orleans in exchange for Davis – who is guaranteed to hit free agency in the summer of 2020, according to his agent, Rich Paul.

With so many players entering free agency and the bulk of the Lakers’ young core heading to New Orleans, there may only be a few familiar faces returning in purple and gold next season. Here are the six players the Lakers have signed for the 2019-20 season.

LeBron James

Salary: $37,436,858

Anthony Davis

Salary: $27,093,019

Moe Wagner

Salary: $2,063,520

Kyle Kuzma

Salary: $1,974,600

Isaac Bonga

Salary: $1,663,861

Jermerrio Jones

Jones has one year left on his deal with the Lakers, but the Lakers will have to exercise their team option for Jones to return.

The Lakers will now have around $30 million in cap space to fill out the roster – but it could potentially take up to 30 days for the trade to officially go through.
