'What the f***?': Dimitar Berbatov agrees with Roy Keane in Manchester United outburst over what players did at final whistle against City

Dimitar Berbatov has slammed Manchester United players for being "too nice" and urged them to show their "dirty" side following their Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to rivals Manchester City.

United were beaten 2-0 by City at Old Trafford, as Pep Guardiola's men booked a Wembley showdown with Tottenham Hotspur.

John Stones and Fernandinho scored the goals to consign Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men to defeat.

Berbatov was not impressed by members of the United squad who were seen embracing their opponents before and after the game.

United legend Roy Keane was left frustrated by similar behaviour at the recent Manchester derby in the Premier League - and his Bulgarian counterpart agrees.

"Sometimes when you have these derbies in important matches, it's not about momentum or form," Berbatov told Betfair in an expletive-laden outburst.

"It's about how much you want it, how smart and cunning the players are, if necessary use some dirty tricks, do whatever it takes to win.

"Sometimes you need to be like this and, like Jose Mourinho said, you need to be b******* to win trophies. I don't see enough of that from United in these big matches.

" Roy Keane spoke about how shocked he was too see players hugging each other after the last Manchester derby. I agree with him. What the f***? This is a derby go out there and win.

"They're missing someone who is dirty in the team, someone who can show the aggression that would give them an edge. United are too nice at times."

United are in FA Cup third round action today, when they play host to Championship side Watford (8pm).
