The easing of lockdown restrictions in Wales which will start on Monday will not apply to people who have been advised to shield during the pandemic.
Speaking at the Welsh Government coronavirus briefing on Friday, the First Minister set out how lockdown measures will ease from Monday, June 1.
The changes outlined by Mark Drakeford mean most people will, from that date, be permitted to meet outdoors with people not from their own households.
People may also travel up to five miles in order to do so.
However, the easement does not apply to some 130,000 people in Wales who have been advised to shield themselves during the outbreak.
Mr Drakeford said: "They are shielding, remember, because they have very serious underlying health conditions that make them particularly vulnerable to the most aggressive impact of this virus."
Current advice for shielded individuals remains in place until the middle of June.
However, Mr Drakeford said he has met with health minister Vaughan Gething and Wales' chief medical officer Dr Frank Atherton to discuss advice for shielded individuals beyond that date.
He said he hopes to be in a position for Dr Atherton to write to those affected by "the second half of next week" with advice they can apply beyond June 15.
The First Minister acknowledged the difficulties facing this group, as they remain cut off from friends and family while restrictions begin to ease for others.
"We're very aware of the impact being cut off from family and friends has on [those who are shielding]," he said.
"They absolutely have not been forgotten and remain very much part of our thinking."
