What the Championship play-off race now looks like after Cardiff City v Derby County and Millwall v Blackburn results

Cardiff City took a big step towards securing a play-off spot with a 2-1 win over Derby County at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night.

Goals from Junior Hoilett and Lee Tomlin helped Neil Harris' men keep their hold on sixth place as we head towards the final two rounds of fixtures.

Fellow play-off contenders Millwall remain two points adrift of the Bluebirds with a 1-0 win over Blackburn.

Cardiff now sit four points ahead of south Wales rivals Swansea, with the Swans - who drop down to eighth following Millwall's victory - travelling to play fifth-placed Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Luton drew 1-1 with QPR and Sheffield Wednesday drew 0-0 with Huddersfield.

In the early kick-offs, West Brom played out a goalless draw away to Fulham, Middlesbrough won 2-1 away to Reading while Wigan put eight past helpless Hull - who Cardiff play in their final Championship fixture next Wednesday.
