What Take That fans can expect at Ashton Gate including the set list

We’re now only six weeks away from comeback kings Take That taking the stage at Ashton Gate stadium, and we’ve got the lowdown on everything fans of the 90s boyband can expect when they bring their tour to Bristol.

From the setlist to the staging, the outfits to the surprise moments, here’s everything we know about what happened when the tour kicked off in Sheffield last Friday.

The lads, now down to a trio following the departure of Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, but Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are still set to relight the band's fire at Ashton Gate on Tuesday, May 28.

It's their 30th anniversary this year and the band are celebrating in style.

They kicked off the tour at the FlyDSA arena on Friday, bringing a whole host of excitement, fun and some surprises with them too, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Here’s what we know so far about what to expect:

Support

The support is Newton-le-Willows’ finest Rick Astley, 80s pop legend - and it's an excellent choice because he’s one heck of a singer.

Launching straight into Together Forever, he’s clearly over the moon to be on tour with Take That, singing classic and new material including the oldies but goodies She Wants To Dance With Me, Cry For Help and Keep Singing, which marked his 50th birthday.

Of course, he has everyone on their feet for Never Gonna Give You Up but the not-to-be-missed highlight of Rick's set is his brass-laden cover of the Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Calvin Harris number one hit Giants. It sounds like it was written for him.

Staging

Take That are known for their award-winning and record breaking tours including The Circus Live, which became the fastest selling in UK history featuring a giant mechanical elephant, and Progress Live (which saw them reunited as a  five-piece with Robbie Williams) featuring Om the huge robot.

They flew through the air with the greatest of ease on a tandem bike and sidecar during the Take That Live tour in 2015 and this time they show their mean and moody side as they don biker jackets and ride motorcycles with dancers draped across their backs, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Bound 2 style. And the centrepiece for the entire show is a giant discoball which doubles as a big screen.

Surprises

Relight My Fire just wouldn't be the same without a certain Scottish singer would it?

The lads pay an emotional homage to former bandmate Jason Orange who left in 2014 and is showing no sign of returning, and Robbie also makes a surprise appearance during Everything Changes on the big screen in newly filmed footage.

Mark's Moustache

Let's talk about Mark's new facial hair. He's now sporting more hair on his head and face, giving him a new more grown-up look and we like it.

He can scoop his shoulder-length hair back into a ponytail, and his tache was a talking point on the tram after the first Sheffield show.

Outfits

Seeing as we spend a lot of time in the 90s where it all began, it seems appropriate that they should revive the shellsuit.

They resemble racing drivers in shiny blue tracksuits as they wind back the years - and Gary wears a particularly fetching white one decorated with gold TT symbols.

And we haven't seen Mr Barlow in a black biker jacket since the Do What You Like Days but he can still pull it off.

But Mark's wardrobe is the most enviable for the spring and summer season - a blush pink suit and delicate pale blue silky blouse had us swooning.
