Barcelona, Juventus and the other daunting sides Spurs can draw in the Champions League last 16

Jose Mourinho's Tottenham side can face one of five teams in the Champions League Round of 16.

The Lilywhites play their final game of Group B on Tuesday evening against Bayern Munich having already booked their place in the knockout phase with one match to spare.

As five points currently separate Spurs from the Bundesliga giants, the match at the Allianz Arena is a dead rubber as neither side can change position.

But who could they play in the knockout phase come February?

Tottenham train ahead of Bayern Munich

Champions League rules state that clubs from the same country cannot come up against each other in the Round of 16, while teams also cannot be drawn against a side they have already faced in the group stage.

That means Bayern aren't a possible opponent in the next round for Mourinho's team, with Man City and Liverpool also not an option until the quarter-finals.

Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Juventus, RB Leipzig and Valencia are the five teams Spurs could possibly be drawn against in the Round of 16.

The team know all about Barcelona having played them twice in the group stage last term, while they were also knocked out in the last 16 in the 2017/18 season by Juventus at Wembley.

Many will want to avoid PSG given they have the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at their disposal, thus meaning that a draw against either RB Leipzig or Valencia would be the ideal scenario.

However, the former are currently second in the Bundesliga and six points above Bayern after 14 games, with the latter topping Group H in Europe's elite competition ahead of both Chelsea and Ajax.

Spurs will play their first leg at home having finished second in the group.

The draw for the Round of 16 will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland at 11am on Monday, December 16.
